Train The Way You Move

Functional Training is by far the most organic, practical paradigm in fitness training  that has ever been. It basically is born from primitive movement patterns that all of us learned as infants.

The ability to roll over, preceding crawling, followed by squatting, then standing, walking, climbing, running and jumping are the things that shaped our development early on.  These things connected our minds to our bodies. They created neurological pathways that became the foundation for many other abilities. Pushing, pulling, carrying. These are all natural movements that our bodies learned early on in life and that many people have lost due to the world we now live in.  Functional Training is based upon these essential skills.  Our bodies went from depending on these essential movement patterns for survival to no longer needing many of them in this automated, much more sedentary day in age. Our modern conveniences and busy schedules are killing us from a physical standpoint and as a society, many of us have lost that connection to our bodies and the joy of movement that ensures our wellbeing.  Even for many people who do exercise, time is limited.  If a workout was available to them that could get them in the best shape of their lives in about an hour per session, don't you think they would be interested?  If it was fun, had a social aspect to it, was delivered by a qualified coach looking out for them, got them their fat-burning cardio, strength, mobility, endurance, core, and the ultimate endorphin rush delivered all in one session, don't you think they'd jump on it?  If it resembled all the things they 'use to be able to do' or 'wish they were capable of doing' by restoring parts of their physicality that 'somehow got lost over the years' or they had 'never felt athletic enough' to do, don't you think they would view it as the ultimate solution?  If it was not a seemingly boring, intimidating or just plain typical old-school gym that they had already failed at sticking with, don't you think they might want to give it a try?  There are tens of thousands of people out there looking for something safe, effective and different. Things have evolved drastically in the Fitness Industry. We have found a smarter, better way to train. When's the last time you gave your gym a complete makeover?  Offered the freshest, most effective, cutting edge workouts available?  With a small investment in your business, you can step into the new paradigm in training and experience success in delivering fitness......

Your average gym member, try as they may, does not have the education and expertise in program design to get a well-rounded, balanced workout on their own.  They usually end up doing too much of one thing and not enough of the other.  Functional Training is a great way to get all the components of fitness in a single session.  We’re talking flexibility, mobility, core conditioning, balance, coordination, agility, strength, cardiovascular capacity and endurance, all achieved simultaneously. Much of the old school gym equipment does not give the body the opportunity to strengthen and stabilize in a way that is useful in real life.  The ability to stabilize through your core, drive off the ground, balance on your own two feet while producing power and speed are not born on machines. These skills are produced by integrated, full-body movements. By training the way you were meant to move.  Most people go to the gym and do the same movements everyday, failing to challenge themselves safely or not at all, and wonder why they are not benefiting from their workout regime.  This leads to boredom, or injury, or most commonly, the high drop out rate most facilities experience.

Improve client retention

Member retention comes down to people getting results and having fun while they do it.  They need to do safe exercises that enhance posture and create connection between mind and body, that can be done long term; that allow them to age with integrity.  Things that preserve mobility and strength while conditioning. Functional strength. They need to move well, and move often.  We have the opportunity, responsibility and privilege to help our clients improve the quality of their lives through movement.  And that’s not by doing old school workouts that do not involve integrated, organic movement. It’s about exercising in a way that translates into real life tasks, sports we enjoy and lifestyles that promote wellbeing.
